Every morning — except on Sundays — my husband and I have the same simple but satisfying breakfast ritual: a big bowl of creamy yogurt. We mix thick, tangy Greek yogurt with extra protein-rich Skyr to get the perfect balance of flavor and nutrition. But let’s be honest: plain yogurt can get boring fast.

That’s why i'm constantly baking new batches of homemade granola — experimenting with flavors, textures and seasonal ingredients. It’s become a cozy weekend tradition: the oven warming the kitchen, the house filling with sweet, nutty aromas.

This Banana Bread Granola is one of our favorites, especially in autumn. It’s spiced with cinnamon, ginger and nutmeg, naturally sweetened with ripe bananas and honey, and has just the right crunch from pecans. Every spoonful tastes like a warm slice of banana bread turned into breakfast — but with better nutrition and less sugar than most store-bought granolas.

For as long as I can remember, I’ve been moving — running, lifting, sweating — but never truly feeling fit. I was never overweight, yet I was always chasing a body that felt just out of reach. For years, I jumped from one crash diet to another, eating 1200 calories a day, following extreme workout programs, and burning out every single time. The cycle was always the same: get motivated, go all in, feel overwhelmed, quit… and start over again.

Everything changed in 2024 when I faced something I never expected — a heart muscle inflammation (myocarditis) that forced me to stop training for six full months. That pause felt terrifying at first, but it also became a turning point. When I was finally cleared to move again, I promised myself I would return differently — slower, gentler, and more sustainable.

Having a strict cleaning schedule has definitely changed my life for the better! I used to procrastinate like crazy when it came to cleaning and then I would feel even worst because of all the dirt and tasks piling up. A realistic approach to my cleaning routine changed not only the state of my apartment but also how I was feeling inside. When people say "you are what you are surrounded by" that's actually true. I feel so much lighter and peaceful once my apartment is taken care of. And dare I say, I actually enjoy cleaning now. Granted not every part of it & not on every day, but mostly I do. I love to take care & cherish things I love and I do love my apartment so it only makes sense for me to take good care of it.
